and let’s begin also guys this Bombay Sandwich Chutney is very simple to make, you require very few ingredients which will easily find in your pantry and it adds so much taste to a simple dish and make it it 10 times more than what it already is.
This chutney is one of the most important ingredients used by Mumbai’s street-food vendors, the Bombay Sandwich Chutney is used not just in the preparation of sandwiches but also in various other exciting dishes like vada pav and chaat too. You can even serve it as an offbeat dip for chips!
Coriander leaves are the main ingredient, adding spinach leaves will give nice green colour to the Bombay Sandwich Chutney. along with this it will also make chutney healthy and more tasty. one can also add mint leaves, but it can make your chutney look dark in colour, so i prefer adding mint leaves only if the green chutney is going to be consumed on the same day. you can make this chutney and store in your freezer in an airtight container for up to a month

Ingredients for making the Bombay Sandwich Chutney
Cilantro / Fresh Dhania | 1 cup | |
Spinach leaves / Palak | 5 to 6 or ½ cup | |
Green Chilli | 3 to 4 | |
Bread slice | 2 | |
Lime juice | 1 tsp | |
Salt | as per your taste | |
Water | ¼ cup |
Prepping for the Bombay Sandwich Chutney
1)Wash and roughly chop the Cilantro / Fresh Dhania and the Spinach leaves / Palak
Method for Making the Bombay Sandwich Chutney
- Now in a blender add the Dhanya which is cilantro then the palak which is spinach along with the garlic and the lime juice and roughly chopped green chillies and the salt and 2 bread slices along with the sides.
- also add the water and now blend until you get a smooth paste.
- Once you get the smooth paste remove it in a bowl and it’s ready to serve.
- You can also store it in a air tight container and keep it in the refrigerator for the next 2 to 3 days or you can freeze it for upto a month
Tips
You can use this chutney to make sandwiches or you can have it with some parathas or you can just eat it with plain roti.
Also guys you can add ice cube instead of water this will give a greener and fresher colour then just simply adding water.
