Would you believe me, probably not, cause you think healthy food cannot be tasty for good looking. Ingredients for the Soya Star Paratha
- 1 cup Whole wheat flour/ Roti Ka atta
- ¼ cup Soya Flour (Blended soya granules)
- ½ cup Boiled and mashed potatoes
- ½ cup Onions finely diced
- 3 tbsp Cabbage finely diced
- 3 tbsp Carrots grated
- 2 tbsp Cilantro / fresh dhania
- 3-4 tbsp Peas boiled and lightly mashed
- 1 tsp Green chilli paste
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder / haldi
- ¼ tsp Chat Masala
- Pinch Amchur powder/ dry mango powder
- As per your taste Salt
- for roasting Oil
Prepping for the Soya Star Paratha Recipe
1)Finely chop the onions,cabbage and boil the potatoes and grate them. Boil the peas and lightly mash them.
Method of making the Soya Star Paratha Recipe
1)In a big flat dish add the whole wheat flour that’s roti ka atta followed by the soya flour,
then the boiled and mashed potatoes, turmeric which is haldi, amchur powder which is dry mango powder, chat masala, dhania that’s cilantro,
2)Then add all the veggies starting with the diced onions, followed by the boiled and lightly mashed peas, then the green chilli paste, then the diced cabbage and the grated carrots then the salt. mix everything in.
3)Once everything is mixed in start adding little water at a time and knead a soft dough( you can see my video to see how soft the dough is (
4)After Kneading the dough cover it up and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes.
5)After 10-15 minutes let’s just refresh the dough by kneading again for a minute and then take a big amount of the dough in your hand and give it a round shape.
6)Then sprinkle some dry flour on a clean surface and dust the round ball with the dry flour and using a rolling pin make it into big disk.
7)Now take a star shaped cookie cutter you can use any shape that you like or you kids like and start making dents.
8)Once all the dents are done very carefully remove the star shaped paratha dough and place it on a dish, then simply collect the leftover dough and reuse it again.
9)After all the star shaped are ready let’s start roasting them. So for that heat the griddle and brush it up with some oil.
10)And then one by one add the star shaped parathas on it and apply a little oil on top as well, and cook on a medium flame for just about a minute.
11)then flip and cook for another minute or until you start seeing golden spots on each side and then remove it in a serving palate or lunch box.
You can serve this paratha with curd, ketchup or green chutney.
