Pineapple raita is probably one of my favorite raitas to eat during the hot summers in India.Raitas in generall help to cool your body heat down during the summer and I would definitely recommend to have at least a bowl of raita during the day. It not only helps with the heat but it also adds a little something to your daily meal.

Pineapple raita is my to go raita as it’s so easy to make and yet so delicious. It’s a perfect side if you are having a hot and heavy Indian meal. Its light flavours just goes well with most of the punjabi dishes. You can always make this raita when you are having guests over and surprise them with the freshness of this raita.

At some restaurants they add pomegranate seeds as garnish, so you can choose to do so yourself, but if you don’t have them it’s totally ok if you skip them, the raita will come out good even without it.

You can also make this pineapple raita with fresh pineapple, by just adding sugar to some warm water and chopped up pineapple pieces and let them simmer for a bit till the pineapple becomes tender and till the time it has soaked up the sugar water a bit.

But I would for sure recommend to use the tinned version , it’s just so easy and hassle free.
