Spring Roll Wrappers recipe with step by steps. Easy method to make homemade spring roll wrappers.

Spring rolls are a favorite chinese snacks for many of us and veg is spring roll might be the top most request in any indochinese restaurant.

So to making our favorite spring rolls the very first step is to make the Spring Roll Wrappers and these are not easily available in all the places. And are pretty easy to make only thing is that they do thake time so you can always make them one day in advance and store them in the fridge for 1-2 days.

And these wrappers can also be used to make samosas.

Ingredients to make the Spring Roll Wrappers

Maida / All Purpose flour 1 cup
Cornflour / Cornstarch 3 tbsp
Salt ½ tsp
Oil 3 tbsp

Method for making the Spring Roll Wrappers

1)In a big mixing bowls add the all purpose flour which is maida followed by the corn flour     then the salt and the oil.

2)And now using your hands mix it in

3)Once mixed start adding little water at a time and start kneading a semi soft dough almost like roti dough

4) for this much dough your might need little over ¼ cup of water and now wrap the dough in a slightly wet cloth and keep it aside for the next 20-30 minutes

5)After 30 minutes unwrap the dough and refresh it by kneading it for the next 2-3 minutes.

6)You will know that you have kneaded a good dough is when you press it down it slightly bounces back up.

7) divide it into 6 equal parts and make round balls out of them.

8)And start rolling one out same like how you roll a roti.

9)Once you reached halfway keep the rolled dough aside and make one more almost the same size.

10)Then generously apply oil on top of one of the rolled dough

11)and then sprinkle some dry flour and then land the other rolled on top of this one and gently press it down,

12) sprinkle some dry flour on top and bottom and then start rolling it you can make it as big as you can.

13)Almost the size of a medium pizza just make sure it’s even and thin from all sides

14)Now to a heated griddle grease it with oil and then wipe of the extra oil and land your rolled wrapper on top and cook for just a few seconds just till the time you start seeing tiny little bubbles on each sides,

15)and once they are somewhat cooked lets remove it in a plate and then using a knife very very gently and carefully let’s separate them. This might take some time so be patient

and might look transparent which is great.

16)So now using a pizza cutter cut of the sides giving  a square shape.


Now guys this wrapper can be used for many recipes such as spring rolls or even samosas, and you can keep it in the fridge for 2-3 days. So if you are having a party you can make it a day before.
