Each morning the same question to to make for breakfast, right? So now i am helping you out my friend with this amazing recipe of Jowar Pancake which is extremely easy to make , healthy yet delicious.

I grew up eating Jowar pancake, and it consists of such few and simple ingredients and yet is tasty that it always make me wonder that with few but right ingredients any dish  can turn into your favourite dish.

You can have jowar pancake with tomato sauce, chutney or even with ketchup, and you serve it up for breakfast in your kids tiffin box or even as an evening snack.

So I like to call this dish no fuss dish.

Ingredients to Make Jowar Pancake

Jwari Flour /Jowar Flour / Sorghum Flour 1 ½ cup
Small Onion 1
Small Tomato 1
Garlic Paste ½ tsp
Ginger Chilli Paste ½ tsp
Dhania / Cilantro 1 tbsp
Salt as per your taste
Oil to grease the pan

Prepping for Jowar Pancake

1)Dice up the vegetables keep aside in a bowl.

Method for Making Jowar Pancake

1)In the Big bowl add the  jwari ka atta then add the finely diced onions, finely diced tomatoes dhania, garlic paste, ginger chilli paste and the salt and now using a spoon mix everything in.

2)Once everything is mixed in i  start adding little water at a time and knead a dough tougher than roti dough.

3)Once the dough is ready keep it aside and take enough dough in your hands almost the size of a small lime and start pressing it on your hands. If it breaks at the ends you can simple press it together.

4)And now keep it aside on a plate and repeat the same for the rest.

if you are not comfortable doing this on your hands you can always use the help of a chakla or any kind of rolling board. And you can also make 1 big one instead few small ones.

5)Once you a few pressed it’s time to roast them.

6)So to a heated griddle start greasing it with oil and then land our creation in the cavities and cook on medium flame for 2 minutes.

7) grease the top part as well so it doesn’t dry out and

8) then flip them and cook for the next 2 minutes or until you start seeing golden brown spots on both sides.

9)Once done and so remove it in a plate and  serve while hot

 

You can serve this with tomato sauce or chutney or dahi (curd) and this is a very good option to serve in a lunch box to your kids.
