Pico de gallo Salsa is a fresh, uncooked salad made from chopped tomato, onion and cilantro, fresh chillies salt and lime juice. In India we have it as a salad or kachumbar along with our main course. This salad is also used for tacos as well as fajitas. I personally love it with some tortilla chips.

Ingredients for Pico de Gallo Salsa

Plum Tomato (chopped) 1
Thin Scallions (trimmed and finely minced) 5
Green Chilli (de-seeded and finely chopped) 1
Fresh Cilantro (chopped) 1-2 tbsp
Fresh Mint Leaves (chopped) 4-5
Fresh Lime Juice 1/2 line
Salt and Pepper to taste


  1. Toss all ingredients into a bowl and mix it well.
  2. Let it sit for about 15 minutes before serving in a fridge so that all the flavors can blend together well.
  3. Serve with some tortilla chips and enjoy!

I usually serve this salsa with Nachos Crisps as a starter.
